Please remember that if topping up from a BT phone the call will cost you exactly £1 every time top up. Making super-low-cost international calls from your mobile couldn't be easier thanks to topup2talk. The following section will explain how you do it. We'll also offer some advice on how you can make things easier on yourself when it comes to regular dialing too.
Making the Top-up
How to top-up from your mobile
Text us the message CHEAPCALL to the short
number 83006. This text will cost you £3 and
we will credit your phone with £3 of call credit.
*You must have a valid UK mobile number on the T-Mobile or Vodafone or O2 or Orange network to use this service. Bill payer's permission must be obtained before texting. The text message request you send for a £3 top-up will be charged at your standard mobile operator's text rate. Each of the two text messages you receive will cost 150p and will be credited individually one at a time.
Making the Call from your mobile
After topping-up you can make international calls from your mobile any time you want. All you have to do is dial one of the access numbers - 0207 124 6666 is probably best (read on for details) - followed by your international number in full - remember not to press your send or call button again after you have dialed the international number.
The access numbers your can use are 0207 124 6666 or 0800 594 6666 or 0845 451 6666.
Which access number should you use? The answer to this will depend on which mobile network you are with and the specific tariff plan that your network has you contracted to. For instance - if you have bundled free minutes with your network then the 0207 number may be the best to use. Or - if your network allows you to dial 0800 numbers for free (many charge for a standard national rate call) then the 0800 number may suit you best.
To get the best possible value from topup2talk please check your personal charging structure with your mobile network. Your network will be able to tell you which of the above access codes will be the cheapest for you to use.
You needn't worry too much. The most that any call is likely to cost will be equivalent to your standard calls to a landline. So at worst - you can call the USA from your mobile for the cost of a standard call plus just 1p
Tricks for saving on dialing time
The topup2talk service is very quick and hassle free. There is even a simple trick that you can use to make the dialing process completely seamless. There is no need for you to dial both the access code and the full international number every time you use the service.
Here's How You Do It:
Simply add a pause between the access number and the international number you wish to dial:
For example: You want to call Mum in Australia. You create a new entry called 'Mum' in your mobile's phone-book memory and when entering the number:
1. Enter the topup2talk access number - 0207 124 6666 or 0800 594 6666 or 0845 451 6666
2. Enter a 'pause'. This can be done easily depending on the brand of your mobile:
Nokia Phones:
A 'p' will appear after * has been pressed 3 times.
Siemens/Panasonic Phones:
A '+' will appear after 0 has been pressed and held.
Motorola / Sony Ericsson Phones:
A 'p' will appear after * has been pressed and held.
3. Now enter your international destination number in full including 00 and save.
That's it - next time you want to call up your Mum using Just Dial's topup2talk service simply find 'Mum' in your memory and dial!

Topup2Talk terms and conditions
When making the international call, connection charge is equal to the outbound rate. 0800 access surcharge is two pence per minute in addition to the outbound rate. 0800 access from payphone is twenty pence per minute in addition to the outbound rate. Access via 0845 / 0207 is charged as your service providers standard rate. You must have an active UK mobile. Minutes shown based on single use of card. Calls charged per minute and rounded to the nearest penny. Rates may change without prior notice. Cards bought from any one phone number are limited to £21 in any one day and £51 over a 30 day rolling period.
Bill payers' permission must be obtained before dialing the 0901 number or sending a text message from a mobile.
Landline Top-up calls are billed at your telecom providers relevant 0901 call rate - with BT that is a flat charge per call of £1 including VAT. To find out the cost of calling from a service provider other than BT, contact your service provider directly; remember your service provider may have a minimum call or connection charge for all calls.
Text Top-ups must be made from a valid UK mobile number on the T-Mobile or Vodafone or O2 or Orange or Virgin networks. The text message request is for a £3 top-up and will be charged at your standard mobile operator's text rate. Each of the two text messages you receive will cost 150p and will be credited individually one at a time.
If premium text message barring is in operation on your mobile phone attempting to text will not result in a top-up charge but you may be charged your mobile operators standard text rate.
Rates and minutes shown are based on the 0845/0207-access number and will be charged at your service providers' lo-call & standard national rates.
Calling subject to availability and these terms are subject to change. Rates are effective from 17/06/2003 and may change without prior notice.
The international calls will be rounded to the nearest penny.
0800 freephone access is available at an additional 3p per minute to the quoted rates.
An 18p/min surcharge will be applied for freephone calls dialed from any payphone.
Your mobile phone service provider may charge for access to freephone numbers and charge different rates for access via 0845 numbers.
If calling from a mobile phone remember to only press the call or send button after dialing the access number but not again after dialing the destination number.
Charging for access numbers by your service provider is from the time of connection to the topup2talk service.
Some calls to International mobiles, non-geographic numbers and foreign premium rate numbers are charged at different rates to that of the country.
The national call rate does not include non-geographic numbers (e.g. 0645, 0845, and 0870).
If a particular phone number account has had no movement (that is either a top up or a call being made) for 90 days or more then we reserve the right to close the account and zero any credit balance that may be remaining.
Savings displayed are our best savings over BT Standard rates from UK mainland before promotions and discounts as of 17/06/2003. Standard is Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm. The savings exclude impact of BTs minimum call charge and Topup2Talk call connection charge.
Top ups from any one landline phone number are limited to £21 in any one day and £51 over a 30 day rolling period.
